Brooke is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Law. She is a certified mediator by the Center for Conflict Resolution.

During law school, Brooke was the associate editor of the Journal of Interational Human Rights.  She was a member of the regional chmpionship team for the American Bar Association Labor and Employment Advocacy Competition.  She was also a L. Shirley Tark scholar.

Brooke has gained trial experienceat the Cook County State's Attorney's Office.  She has served as a research assistant for two nationally prominent professors.

Brooke completed her undergraduate work at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
